Purple Statice and all other varieties of Statice are in the Plumbaginaceae Family. Also known as Limonium or Sea Foam, they come in all shades of purple, lavender, white, peach, yellow, pink and fuchsia. Their bloom which looks and feels similar to tissue paper makes them ideal to use as a dried flower. On average, each stem of Statice has dozens of miniature blooms. All varieties generally come in with the bloom open and are available year round. It is recommended processing them 2 to 3 days before use in order to allow them to hydrate and fluff up. Average vase life of Statice can be longer than 7 to 10 days and stems can be dried towards the end of their use. We import Statice from Holland, Ecuador, Columbia and when available, we buy from local farms in the United States. Wholesale Statice are generally sold by the bunch of 10 stems or by the box. Statice should be kept in a cool area for storage, or left at room temperature to allow to hydrate before use. We can accommodate special orders of bulk quantity of a specific color, please give us 10 days notice – although often we can accommodate last minute orders.
